I am travelling on the road with my Getz since I bought it in yr 05. What I have notice is that the traffic here in Singapore is get heavier, the worst part is CTE, during the peak hour even when ERP is operating, there will still be traffic jam.
Secondly, the behaviour of the driver here is bad compare to the USA and consider better compare to HongKong and China. When comparing with USA, the people in USA is more patient and they will not move (even when the traffic light turn green) when there are pedestrian crossing. When one car give a left signal, the car at the side but behind will give way to the signalling vehicle.
When I am in Hongkong, the car is travelling like the whole road belong to the driver. During a jam, the car can still cut from one lane to the other.
In China, you can enjoy the horn playing music every 1 min on the road. The driver will horn like nobody biz.
The best part is when I am in Thailand, they drive racklessly but the driver behind will always give way to the signalling vehicle. That is why the accident rate in very little.
I just hope that the driver here will drive safely and have more patient. I have notice in Singapore, some driver like to drive fast but in the end, they still end up waiting at the traffic light with the follow the road limit driver.
Example:
Car A is travelling at 80km/h, while car B is travelling at 70km/h. They start at the same point, but car A is ahead of car B initially but end up waiting at the traffic light ahead. Guess who will be using more petrol. Car A will be using more as he step more on the accelerator more than car B.
So in order to save more money during this high petrol price period, I urge all driver to be patient and drive safely.
